what is enough?

Today is the first official day of our BIG BRAVE BLOG HULLABALOO!!!

I envision us all, sprinkled throughout the world, sitting in circle together…
a group of soulful women, witnessing and celebrating our stories
of reclaiming power, honoring courage,  risking vulnerability, stoking creative fires, reaching into mystery.

I am honored and oh so humbled to introduce the MAGNIFICENT Mary Anne Radmacher to all of you today!  Let’s welcome her and her colorful boldness and honesty with warm fuzzies and deep listening…  and if you feel called to, please leave a love note for her in the comments below!

(A few of Mary Anne’s books adorn the shelves in my studio, including my very favorite, Live With Intention:  Rediscovering What We Deeply Know.  Something I truly love about her work is that she writes of personal experience, dares to extract magic from the ordinary, and her poetry, prose, and little snippets have a way of waking me up and moving me in ways that keep me grounded in my own vision.  I invite you to check out her most recent body of work, which includes the most beautiful posters and affirmation cards,  HERE!)

So without further adieu….  drumroll please…

Oh Mary Anne! I resonated so much with what you had to say… the projecting… the forgiving… the coming to terms with what IS truthfully enough.

I LOVE this: “Enough is soon followed by a sigh of relief and a goodbye whispered too softly for anyone to hear but me. And THAT’S enough.”

Thank you for you willingness to dive into this and be so honest, and vulnerable.

    Much love to you!!!!

  2. Hi Mary Anne,

I love a lot of your quotes. Have given them to folks as gifts! Like this one, ““Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.”

And here you are. “Table of possibilities” conjures up the coolest vision …

    Thanks! Giulietta

p.s. glad you are doing this Lisa …

… “‘enough’ for me means never again is a place set at the awesome table of possibilities which is my life.”

I am a shallow breather. I always have been. Upon reading these words, I breathed deeply. The exhale was so satisfying.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

Love this post, Mary Anne. I’ m learning about “never again and goodbye” and it works beautifully. Why does it take so long to figure it out?

I remember my mother telling me as a young child “ENOUGH!” I didn’t learn to say it as an adult for a very long time and I go through my own rituals and ruminations to get there. Loved the flow of this open sharing. I couldn’t get ENOUGH! ♥
