“Within every woman there is a wild and natural creature, a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing. Her name is Wild Woman, but she is an endangered species.  Though the gifts of the wildish nature come to us at birth, society’s attempt to “civilize” us into rigid roles has plundered this treasure, and muffled the deep, life-giving messages of our own souls.”

~Clarissa Pinkola Estés (Women Who Run With the Wolves)

Imagine this…

a trusted community of women
who believe in you,
support you,
and challenge you to live out loud and on purpose…

a tribe that creates a safe and nurturing space
to be deeply honest and wildly creative,
all without judgement or criticism…

a posse to lean on that won’t let you sink
into your self-imposed limitations,
and instead will embrace, applaud, and celebrate you
and the delightful gifts you bring to the world…

~ Twelve monthly gatherings that serve as self-honoring playdates that take you out of your normal routines and reconnect you to your WILD…  we will delve into many a creative adventure (absolutely no artistic experience necessary!) and sit together in soulful circles that will encourage you to cultivate courage, self-compassion, friendship, and whimsy.

~ A two-night retreat at a nearby lodge or cottage in the woods that gives us some extra time and space for relaxation, reflection, deepening community, and silly slumber party shenanigans.

~ The opportunity to step fully into the sisterhood of other women (limited to a cozy group of thirteen) that will encourage you to trust in your own divine wisdom and provide accountability and unconditional support as you take empowered action in your life.

~ Optional easy ways to stay in touch online in between our gatherings, as well as a different “wild sister” assigned to you each month to play with and get to know one on one.

~ 2 one-on-one coaching appointments with me that can be used at any time throughout the year when you need an extra burst of support.  These are most often in the form of a tea party at my home studio, but we can also have a private yoga session, take a walk together, or meet over the ethers via Skype if it’s more convenient for you.  I’m also happy to give ongoing support and encouragement via phone and email as needed.

~ All materials and supplies used in each circle.

~ A complimentary Wild Woman’s Journal/Sketchbook and lots of other little surprises, tools, and treasures along the way.

(We will certainly get down in the deep…  we will likely weep together at times, we will empathize with one another, and we will sure as anything laugh together [and I mean, a lot]…  however,  please keep in mind that this is not group therapy.  Let’s face it-  you can’t fix what ain’t broke, and I happen to think you’re pretty amazing, whole, and enough just the way you are, both in your extraordinary power and in your most tender and vulnerable spots.  My job is simply to invite your WILD out to play so that you can get to know her better!)

the nitty gritty

testimonial (Jen)

Are you willing to honor yourself in wild and empowering ways?

I believe that circles have a way of blossoming into a lovely dance of group dynamics, co-leadership, and self-understanding, which requires commitment and trust.  Therefore, in order to allow yourself the richest and most transformative experience possible and to maintain authentic connection within our tribe, you will be asked from the get-go to make a clear 12-month promise of your time, energy, love, and financial resources.   I am quite confident that together, you and I will make this adventure worth every penny and ounce of juju you put into it!

If you are unsure about your readiness for something like this, I’m happy to sit down and have a cup of tea with you and help you sort it out….  just holler at me to set up a time!  In the meantime, HERE is an always-evolving list of answers for questions asked most frequently, and you are welcome to submit your own questions as well!

I have decided to take 2015 away from the Inner Circle for my own healing…

please check back for details about the next circle!

Photo on 11-19-14 at 10.20 AMHere’s me in a nutshell…my name is Lisa Rough, and I am a tribe builder, a dream incubator, and a self-taught artist and writer. I’ve come to realize over the years that we are all works in progress, and I am certainly no exception! What I have to offer you is a strong sense of who I am and the experiences I have collected along the way…. I have a master’s degree in counseling and psychology and have worked with troubled youth and those facing crisis in inner city Boston; I have participated in outdoor educational programs and have studied and become certified in teaching yoga; I have created and sold art that is in private collections all over the world; I have developed and facilitated art parties, creativity workshops, retreats, and circle gatherings; and I have cultivated oodles of compassion and humor from being a stay-at-home mom. Most recently I have leapt into studying Shamanism, but it’s more like reconnecting with a part of myself that’s always been there.  My story has created a rich landscape from which to live with enormous regard for life, immeasurable joy, and the anticipation of more possibilities around the next bend.

This here is my dream.  It’s what tickles and delights me and dares me to make a difference in the world.  If you’d like to get to know me and the work that I do, check out MY BLOG.

Please don’t hesitate to connect with me!!
