WILD WOMAN’S WELLNESS TRIBE
“If you want to travel swiftly, go alone.
If you want to travel far, go together.”
~ African Proverb
What’s your body trying to tell you?
The AWARENESS that it’s time to change the relationship we have with our bodies comes in many forms. For some of us, it takes a family health crisis, like someone close to us becoming ill or dying… or it might be our own doctor sitting us down and telling us that things must change now if we have any hope of knowing our grandchildren. It could be the stark realization that we can’t keep up with our kids… a sense that we’re running out of time… or chronic pain and exhaustion that permeates our daily lives. Sometimes it’s even the constant over-striving to squeeze into our culture’s idea of beauty… or just plain old disgust when we look in the mirror.
Regardless of what brought you here, your body is trying to tell you something. Do you dare to listen?
What’s Included:
~ Nine monthly 4-hour gatherings, where together we will explore a wholistic journey to wellness, honoring the body, mind, and spirit, as well as the emotional, social, and creative sides of ourselves. We will play with a mishmash of mediums, from gentle yoga, movement, and meditation to artsy adventures, story-telling and compassionate listening. Everything we’ll be doing is designed to be appropriate for women of all shapes, sizes, fitness levels, and artistic abilities.
~ The opportunity to step fully into the sisterhood of other women (limited to twelve participants), providing rich unconditional support and accountability as you learn to honor yourself on your own unique path to wellness.
~ Our very own private website where you can connect with members of our circle (including myself) at any time in order to share encouragement, insights, resources, optional homework, and recipes.
~ FOUR one on one coaching sessions with me, including one pre-tribe get-together in January or February to create your own individualized plan for embracing wellness, two check-ins throughout our nine months together, and one more as we near the end in order to celebrate, refine, and empower your ongoing visions for sustainable health. These are most often in person over tea in my home studio, but can also be held over the phone.
~ All materials and supplies used in each circle.
~ A complimentary Wild Woman’s Wellness Tribe Journal and other spontaneous surprises along the way.
( So much about building and maintaining a peaceful relationship with our bodies is about making subtle [and not so subtle] shifts in our minds and our hearts that support greater self-compassion and healthier choices… it is those shifts that will serve as the very foundation of our nine months together. Please note that this is not a diet program, nor is it a quick and easy fix… your body is different from anyone else’s, and has unique requirements for creating life-long wellness sprouted from deep within your very own sovereignty. By the same token, I am not a doctor or dietician… so it will be up to you to be aware of your own health history and limitations, and surround yourself with a team of trusted physicians and alternative healthcare providers that will help guide and support your wellness journey.)
What are you waiting for?
I believe that circles of women require a certain level of commitment and trust. Therefore, in order to allow yourself the richest and most transformative experience possible and to maintain deep connection within our tribe, you will be asked from the get-go to make a clear 9-month promise of your time, energy, love, and financial resources. What this REALLY boils down to, however, is making this promise to and of yourself. If you are unsure about your readiness for something like this, I’m happy to talk with you and help you sort it out…. just holler at me to set up a time!
If you’re ready to leap, please see the options below… and congratulations for choosing to honor yourself in this way! I am quite confident that together, you and I will make this adventure worth every penny and ounce of love, energy, and devotion you put into it!
THE CIRCLE IS COMPLETE! PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT ONE!

A little ’bout me: My name is Lisa Rough, and I am a tribe builder, self-taught artist, and writer. What I have to offer you is a strong sense of who I am along with the experiences I have collected throughout my life…. I have a master’s degree in counseling and psychology with a heavy focus on wholistic health and expressive arts; I have worked with troubled youth and those facing crisis in inner city Boston; I have participated in outdoor educational programs; I am a certified yoga teacher; I have created and sold art that is in private collections all over the world; I have developed and facilitated many art parties, creativity workshops, retreats, and circle gatherings; and I have cultivated oodles of compassion and humor from being a stay-at-home mom. My story has created a rich landscape from which to live with enormous regard for life, immeasurable joy, and the anticipation of more possibilities around the next bend.
Just over a year ago, after watching my in-laws struggle with heart disease and having chronic digestive pain myself, I began my own journey toward wellness. I began a regular walking routine, cut certain foods from my diet, got stronger and lost a bunch of weight…. over time, I went from being a clinically obese couch potato to a triathlete (that’s me and my kiddos in the photo, just after I had crossed the finish line at the Iron Girl Atlanta this past May!).
But truthfully, that’s just the icing on the cake…
What really wound up happening is that I befriended my body again. I learned how to LOVE MYSELF, and make choices out of a sincere desire to be fully engaged in life. I started to believe in myself and what I was capable of. I reclaimed mojo that I had forgotten I even had, daring to express the entirety of who I am, warts and all. I became open to deep connection and discovered a tribe of women who are still there supporting and inspiring me through thick and thin. I made huge shifts in my business, in my writing, in my art, in my parenting.
As I now get ready to head into my third year of the Wild Women’s Inner Circle, the Wellness Tribe seemed like the next step in my own evolution, for it is with great passion that I find myself gathering the tools to help women find their very own path toward living a life that is healthy, satisfying, and empowered.
