Full Corn Moon…

Shining with the Full Corn Moon...

Today is the Full Corn Moon, also known as the Barley Moon…  and I am once again joining my artsy friends, including Jamie Riddler in celebrating with the creation of a dreamboard… (click on the link to witness other beautiful dreams!). September moons are usually called the Harvest Moon, but not this time around, for the harvest moon is the one that is closest to the Autumn Equinox, which will be in early October.  It makes sense in my world, because I have a lot of late bloomers in my garden this year…  the zucchinis are still rolling in, the tomatos are just now getting ripe and juicy, we finally have some baby eggplants, and we’ll be lucky if our pumpkins are ready in time for Halloween.

The Full Corn Moon has a warm and fiery energy to it as we grab onto and celebrate the last bit of summery sunshine before our days begin to shorten and the air grows cooler.  It’s a time to get ready for winter, creating reserves of your creative fire for those snowy days when you simply want to curl up in your pajamas.

What can you set aside right now that you’ll be able to use on those chilly winter days ahead?

“Dream big, dare greatly, and shine brightly.”

~Robin Sieger

P.S.  As an aside, the visionboard above is what I call a “Flight of Fancy Dreamwheel”….which is one that uses the power and focus of mandalas to give your dreams further juice and “oomph.”  I will soon be sharing with you all a free ebook on my site that you can download to learn how to create your own.  Stay tuned!
