The Full Sturgeon Moon…

blogphoto4

Today is the Full Sturgeon Moon, also called the Full Red Moon by some, and I am joining my newest online friends, including Jamie Riddler in celebrating with the creation of a dreamboard…   you might notice that mine isn’t exactly a board…  it’s actually the door of an old hoosier cabinet that I intend to one day completely cover with my visions.  I had started on this a while back, but the door is finished as of today~  a day of intense, fruitful, and nurturing energy.  Today it is stormy here, and we’ve almost lost power a couple of times…  but on days like this, dreams are born, possibilities are stretched, and doors are opened.

“Every one of us is called upon, probably many times, to start a new life.  A frightening diagnosis, a marriage, a move, loss of a job…  And onward full tilt we go, pitched and wrecked and absurdly resolute, driven in spite of everything to make good on a new shore.  To be hopeful, to embrace one possibility after another-  that is surely the basic instinct…    Crying out:  High tide!  Time to move out into the glorious debris.  Time to take this life for what it is.”

~Barbara Kingsolver

Even the kids joined in…
